If you have an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file, you can import it into a Campaign and BuzzBuilder will automatically begin sending emails to everyone on the list. TIP: Before you import a spreadsheet, look it over to make sure you have good data. Replace any First Names with known nicknames (change William to Bill if you know this is how he likes to be called). Also, shorten the Company Name: ABC Corporation should be shortened to ABC. Also delete other words like "inc", "corp", "systems", "international" and anything else that makes it look like you got their company name off a list. WARNING: On your spreadsheet, make sure your header (with First Name, Last Name, Email, etc) is on the top row. Any information such as a document name or date that appears above the header needs to be deleted. Here are instructions for importing your spreadsheet into BuzzBuilder: 1. On the DASHBOARD in the "View Campaigns" section, click on the "import contacts" tab next to the appropriate campaign.
2. Click on the BROWSE button and select your CSV or Excel file. You also have the option of scheduling the campaign to launch at a later date, and you can schedule a Follow-Up Task if you want to be reminded to follow up with your contacts at a certain time.
3. Tell BuzzBuilder which fields you want to import from your file. To do this, click on the drop down menu next to each field you wish to import and select the appropriate option. If you don't wish to import a field from your spreadsheet, select "None" from the drop down menu--this will ignore this field and it won't be imported. When you're done, click NEXT.
4. Choose to "Send Now" or "Send Later". If you select "Send Now" the first email will go out immediately. If you select "Send Later" a calendar will appear and you can schedule when you'd like the campaign to begin.
5. Optionally, you can schedule a Follow-Up Task if you'd BuzzBuilder to remind you when to make follow-up calls to your contacts in the campaign. You can also preview the first email in the campaign by clicking the Preview button. Once you're ready, click the Start Import button to complete the process.
